The Plan of Salvation
The dictionary may describe salvation as deliverance, pardon, or rescue. But what does God’s Word say? The Bible tells us that salvation means being set free from the power of sin and Satan, and being placed securely in the hands of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
How can I be saved?
It’s as simple as A-B-C:
A – Admit that you are a sinner.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
B – Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for your sins and rose again.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
C – Confess your sins and ask Jesus to be your Savior and Lord.
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9-10
Why do I need salvation?
The Bible is clear:
The penalty for sin is death. “For the wages of sin is death…” – Romans 6:23
But God offers us a gift – eternal life through Jesus Christ. “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
When should I be saved?
The time is now. None of us are promised tomorrow.
“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” – Hebrews 3:7
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:2
Is there any other way?
No. Salvation is found only in Jesus.
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
Jesus is knocking…
Jesus Himself says:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” – Revelation 3:20
He’s ready to enter your life—if you open the door.
A Prayer of Salvation
If you’re ready to receive Jesus as your Savior, pray this prayer from your heart:
Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins and that He rose again. I ask Jesus to forgive me, come into my life, and be my Savior and Lord. From this day forward, guide me and help me live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
